One of the greatest basketball players to ever play the game, Kobe Bryant, was called the Black Mamba as his nickname. In January 2020 he died in a helicopter crash with eight other people among them, his sweet daughter Gigi.
Kobe Bryant has been my idol for almost since I can remember, and the most important lesson he taught me what Mamba Mentality.
So, what is mamba mentality? The expression is some Kobe came up with, inspired by his nickname on the field. He made a book called The Mamba Mentality: How I Play and thus this became a way of life. It is actually a very complex philosophy, but to make Mamba Mentality easy to understand, it is just about being the best version of yourself, that you can possibly be... Every day!
Well, it sounds easy. If you have read about another dedicated person called David Goggins, you know it is not easy the be the hardest man on the planet. In his opinion, most people only live up to 40% of their potential. I know for sure, that Kobe Bryant was not one of them, and Mamba Mentality has inspired a lot of people to be better every day.
Thank you, Kobe.
Rest in Peace ❤
